History
Established in 2003.
Jason (Alexander) has been a photographer all his life, with a few diversions along the way.
After working in the fashion industry for a few years Jason found that photographing weddings meant photographing real people, rather than the staged and highly stylised editorial photography that he was involved in. Weddings were more of a challenge, more in the moment, and more meaningful, and ultimately a link to his original thesis which was always rooted in the family album and what photography could be in the every day.
Jason’s first commissioned wedding was in 2003, still shooting on film and not really knowing how a wedding would pan out, and he didn’t make any money, and certainly didn’t sleep the night before, but the client loved the pictures and from there the business grew and evolved. Very early on the idea was to put the client first and focus on telling their story as if every wedding was a new experience — «Simplify Everything» became the mantra and still is today.
