I think that Lil’s is about a year and a half old plus –interesting local fact — Lil is the mum of Ursula(of Ursula’s Hairdressers, two doors down). This is the kind of place to go if you want to ensure a fresh, healthy(well, cept the melted cheese in some cases) lunch time treat or snack. It is not really that much of a deli but we won’t begrudge them the title because they make such tasty food. The service is very good, and as quick as they can be, although no-one’s in any hurry to leave lovely Lil’s Deli that’s for sure. I’ve only just stumbled upon this one i.e. I’d seen it, walked past etc but now I’ve been in I’ll definitely be going back.

This deli is relatively new to Glossop, and although it is situated at the lower end of the High Street, its worth it to take the stroll down there to pick up some lunch. The deli appears scrupulously clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The paninis in particular are fantastic, stuffed with tasty and delicious fillings. Not the cheapest place on the High Street for lunch, but the food is yummy and is freshly prepared for you. This can be the only downside — with the food made fresh for you, service is a bit on the slow side, so this isn’t the place to go if you’re in a hurry and keen to dash in and out again.
