Not me, but my cousin got his hair cut here and he couldn’t say a bad word about them. So much so that I have been compeled to write this review on his detailed recolection of his experience with the West End Barbers. My cousin is an avid music lover, he loves guitars, drums, gigs, must I go on, and he seemed to think that the West End barbers was a ‘grimey but cool’ little place aimed just at the likes of him. And as it goes, the staff shared his interests in all things music. He had a long convo with his hair stylist on a string of gigs he had just been to, while sipping on some orange juice offered to him. Sounds pretty good, and he said it was cheap too ! Fantastic!

An entire wall plastered with gig posters suggests this small barber’s shop is aiming for a young market and with plenty of nearby students, rightly so. We’re not talking Cliff Richards’ Christmas tour, but rather hip young things playing the Captain’s Rest and Stereo. The set-up looks great and helps create a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Offering student-friendly prices, the staff in here are overwhelmingly friendly and equally happy to gab away to you if that’s what you want or keep it zipped if you’re not in the mood. I was very happy with my haircut and would hae no qualms about recommending this place.
