I love this little café and bakers because no matter how much mess the kids make, no one seems to care. There is usually a lightly trampled floor covering of old chips and pastry crumbs when we go in anyway, so that’s not surprising. This unusual interior décor does not however detract from the experience, as the coffee is good, the cakes are lovely and they do some great deals on pies, rolls and soup. Plus, I’ve peeked through into the kitchen and it (in contrast to the seating bit) looks spotless. The staff are friendly, there’s usually plenty of space to sit in, and it really is great value for money. Just avoid lunch time as it is hoaching with teenagers from the local secondary — YUK!
