The Royal Bank of Scotland

I was in here today. Has this place had a refit since I was here last a long time ago? Looks great. A nice chilled out look. It was dead. Maybe the time of day. While RBS are getting fined Millions all the time, looks like the Bank of Scotland are making their banks look nice and welcoming:) nothing bad to say. Looks great.

How often do you ever see a good bank, probably never, this branch can be found in Sauchiehall street next across the road from Starbucks.
This branch has plenty if ATM’s outside and have seen long queues if people especially on bank holidays.
This is probably the only bank that has never tried to to sell me or given a sales call.

In and out of here fairly often and it’s a really good bank.
Pretty small, but always busy.
Had a few proper meetings in here about changing my account and other more important things than just the usual and the staff who I have met with have been approachable and friendly.
The ATM’s outside are constantly mobbed so I usually dive into the Bank of Scotland up a wee bit on the other side of the road of Sauchiehall Street which has ATM’s indoors which minimises the likelihood of getting mugged.
After business hours though. this is a decent place to lift money that is well lit with people always walking around.

This branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland is located on Sauchiehall Street, on the corner of West Nile Street and next door to Schuh.
It’s a fairly small branch, and its cash machines are generally mobbed, especially during busy shopping times like Saturday afternoons and Thursday evenings. I think that people tend to forget that there’s a Lloyds around the corner and a Bank of Scotland one block along the road.
I went in ehre to open up my graduate account, since their overdraft terms are a lot more reasonable than those at my previous student bank, HSBC. It didn’t take long to set up and the teller was very helpful.
The bank itself as a means for withdrawing money, depositing cheques, and other routine things seems to be pretty good in general. The queues can be pretty long but since it’s small there are only so many people you can cram in at once.
Pretty much all you could ever want or need from a city centre bank branch.
