Established in 2011.

The Academy of Make-​up was founded by freelance make-​up artist Sara Hill in 2011. Sara responded to the need for a professional quality, fast track make-​up artistry school based in Scotland previously only found in London and overseas.

Business Owner

Sara’s innovative and creative ideas have led her to work globally with the biggest names in the fashion industry, advertising, television and music world. With over 16 years in the Industry Sara started out in make-​up for film and tv and has worked with the BBC, STV, MTV and ITV, and has provided special effects for Star Gate SG1 in Vancouver. She returned to the UK working with celebrities including Rosie huntington-​whitleley, Grace Jones, Emili Sande, Melanie C, La Roux, Athlete, Lemar, KT Tunstall, Kanye West, The Sugababes and many more. In addition she has worked backstage for fashion labels such as Vivienne Westwood, Biba, Fashion East, Reem, Noki, McQueen, Osman Yousefzada and Ashish.
