I am not going to go on about M&S — hey they are all over the place. If you don’t know about M&S by now — go crawl under the rock you came from. This place is big and wide — electronics, clothing and more importantly men’s clothing and foodie stuff. Situation — — - — job interview — in the morning — you have nothing to wear — nothing clean. Get your butt in here. A decent shirt, some trousers — maybe even grab a tie. I know it is not Slaters. But desperate men should not question the source of their salvation. The food section has been expanded — it is is good except for the weirdie deli café counter — who the hell has a glass of wine in M&S? Surrounded by folks buying biscuits and chicken thighs? There are better places to get pissed. But the food is good. How do I know? By the number of folks trying to run over top of my body with a mini-cart while purchasing goods here. Popular? Yeah. Seriously good food while trying to deal with the transfer of food items by management from one area to another — with no apparent justification! M&S — you try me

Medium sized department store. Usual M&S products and no real surprises. It is as you would expect. Fair quality and fair prices

Ah the wonderful British institution that is M&S! This gigantic M&S in Braehead is by far Glasgow’s best M&S store. I have to admit to most of the clothes being too frumpy for my personal taste but the Limited Collection has come a long way in past year and some of the shoes are lovely. Where would the women of Britain be without the M&S lingerie department? I have been known to splurge a bit when it comes to underwear in some of the gorgeous boutiques we have in Glasgow’s city centre but on days when I’m thinking £50 isn’t a reasonable price to pay for a bra I always head to M&S. The lingerie department at the Braehead M&S is epic and you could nearly get lost in this one section of the store alone! I love the basic everyday underwear which you can wear under everything but which still has pretty details and looks much nicer than plain, boring white or beige. I am ludicrously fussy when it comes to tights and never buy mine from anywhere except M&S. They have to be at least 70 denier, not itchy and have the correct amount of shininess on them(OCD I know, I know). The Braehead store also has a food section and do I really need to tell you about the wonder of M&S food? No, didn’t so.

Marks & Spencer is the ultimate in luxury shopping, from knickers and nighties, to delicious cream cakes and canapes. This branch is well worth the journey, as it is the biggest M&S store I have ever been in and has a great selection of goodies. It really is a one stop shop, with all sorts of clothing, footwear, lingerie and beauty products to while away the day admiring. Then you’ll find the food hall, where everything is of the highest quality, with the best ingredients, which makes it a firm British favourite with those who can afford it.

Have I mentioned that I love Marks and Spencers? I have? Well then let me just mention it again; I love the heavenly department store that is M&S. If I had to pick a favourite M&S in Glasgow, the store at the Braehead shopping centre would win hands down? Why? Well, quite frankly, it’s huge. And can you really have too much of a good thing?! As well as having a very decently sized supermarket, this store has extensive clothes, shoes, underwear and childrens wear sections. It has an excellent accessories section, which for a large part of the year features more hats, scarves and gloves than you have ever seen.(And even better, most of them have that delightful green circle on them that stands for M&S’s ‘outstanding value’ collection). But the jewel on the top of this fabulous department store crown is the homewear section. Almost as good as dedicated M&S homewear shops — this department is big enough to get lost in. In fact, I have had to be rescued a couple of times — but probably just because my boyfriend isn’t as interested in matching crockery than I am…
