So when this first opened I thought it was EPIC! A new route super quick to the city centre from the shite!(Sorry I meant shire) But now times have changed, every morning and evening I spend my time looking at the back of the car in front of me thinking wtf. Why did I not work harder at school, why can I not win the lottery, why am I not the son of a billionaire!!! Yes what I’m saying is the journey to work is slow, busy and awful, but every day the m74 sucks me back in and I travel along it on my journey west. Tourists — this is not a tourist attraction!!! Unilocalers — yes this probably is a review you wish you had not had to suffer through reading. The reality is this is a good addition to Glasgow as it made transport across the city by car a lot easier, but I’m not convinced it’s worthy of a Unilocal listing.(That won’t stop me checking into it of course!) It’s also got to low a speed limits in my humble opinion and it’s ain’t built well as you get to much surface water collecting on it. Happiness is an m74 motorway junction… When it’s empty

A futuristic highway soaring above the city, just like Miami but without the glamour! The six-laned elevated motorway connects the M74(the Scottish continuation of the M6) to the westbound M8 right in the centre of Glasgow just south of the Kingston Bridge. If it also connected to the eastbound M8 i’d give it 4*, and a full 5* if it allowed direct access to the A814 Clydeside Expressway instead of having to go in a big circle through two sets of traffic lights in Tradeston

What a feat of modern engineering! Now if only they’d bothered to sort the roads leading up to the junctions right then journey times could have been cut by a lot… as it is this mainly benefits people travelling through the southside(or avoiding the M8)… not to or from it sadly.
