Igloo

Although Igloo is predominantly a lighting centre, there are also various other charming household appliances to be found in here.
There were some stunning clocks that looked almost steampunk in design — although they were intended to look like old granfather clocks, they were transparent and made of glass or, even out of plastic cogs. There were also numerous super chic furnishings, such as couches and massive plush footstools (that were to scale with a giant) in a cool, steel grey. Each item looked manufactured with the greatest care and effort — pracitcal but also stylish.
This shop is definitely geared towards the rich and trendy, but for those that like to follow imaginative and innovative trends. A lot of the lighting fixtures and household appliances were statement items, boldly and carefully designed, that draw your attention to them. Because the quality is so high, the price follows suit — I fell in love with a clockface made out of an old ceramic plate and it came in at over £100…just to give you an idea of the cost bracket. But to give Igloo their dues, they know how to throw a real sale — with furniture recently knocked down to half price, these items became delivshly tempting when set to a cost within my grasp. For full price items, many people would find themselves having to save up, but for the quality and sleek style Igloo offers I would argue it would be worth it.
