Dumbarton Road Sub Post Office

You know the story — it’s 11.45am on a Saturday morning and you’ve got something that just HAS to go out that day. It’s a rush against time to get to the post office before the final post does, and you’re not going to let anything get in your way,
Cue a frantic rush up Dumbarton Road — knocking small children and pensioners to the ground as you go. You finally reached that hallowed Red sign at 11.54am — and you sigh a sigh of pure relief.
Then, of course, you get inside. And join a queue of fifteen other people who’ve just done exactly the same as you. Now, this is a big Post Office. It’s a bit barnlike inside but at least there’s plenty of space for queuing without having to stretch out onto the street outside. Generally, they tend to have most of the windows available actually open — which is never something to complain about.
Staff are reasonably friendly and service is quite quick. Only really bad thing about this post office is the Thomas the Tank Engine mini-​ride in the corner which sings the song over and over and over again. All day. After five minutes I wanted to cut it’s electric cable — I can’t even imagine what the staff want to do to it.
