The library in Baillieston is one of the best I have visited the staff are very nice and always make you feel welcome, it’s a great wee hub and as far as I see it is used extensively, moreover it is very easy to get to.

Love of my life, this library system, I’m telling you! Bailileston Library is located on Baillieston main street, right across fromt he Post Office, so it’s always doubly handy. They have a small car park, which is a lifesaver most days as the main street can be terribly busy. Everything here was completely refurbished over the past few months, and is now gleaming like never before. A good half of the library is dedicated to children’s books, as it always has been, which is amazing. They also have about 8 or 10 computer stations for internet access, some media(CDs, etc.) and a nice selection. IF there is anything you can’t find you can look it up on the website and they will have it sent from another library to Baillieston for you to pick up. The staff are brilliant, super friendly and accommodating. They also call you up when your reservations have arrived. They have a book club and some other author events, and will direct you to other events in the Glasgow area. Top notch!

A handy local resource centre. As well as books, they have DVD’s and CD’s for loan. They also have computers for people to use at their leisure. they are very good with the youngsters and put story hours and such like on for them. The library is not just for books these days and is well worth a visit.
