Children’s learning and development is aided and enhanced by play time with quality toys.

Experienced advice and suggestions for party and gift presents is available if required. There is also a range of children’s birthday cards and wrapping paper for a one-​stop-​present-​shop. A good selection of pocket money toys at great value prices, plus small creative gifts provide loads of ideas for party bags.

New for 2014 are children’s books, art supplies and the addition of the Elegant Possessions Art Gallery within Activity Chest. Pictures, paintings and prints, all pre-​owned with some dating from the mid 1700s, are available from £50. Come and view the gallery wall.

For amateur and semi-​professional artists the Art Supplies section includes paints, brushes, surfaces and accessories. It has been boosted recently with a wider selection of acrylic Daler Rowney System 3 paints and extended colour ranges in Winsor and Newton Artist’s watercolour and Winton oil paints.

Established in 2003.

Activity Chest opened in 2004 in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, UK and has an unusual mix of educational, creative and retro toys for all ages — Smart Stuff for Smart Kids!
