Java & Jazz Coffee House

I used Java & Jazz to meet clients several times now. I really like the informal setting, the background music, the furnishings, the friendly staff and atmosphere.
Oh yes the coffee & cakes are always a welcome addition full of flavour and good size portions.
Next task is to arrange a lunchtime meeting to check out the menu!

Nestled in the quaint town of Forest Row in East Sussex lies the wonderful coffee house Java & Jazz. As you enter you immediately are greeted by a large friendly staff who ask you preference of coffee/​tea (downstairs) or full meal (upstairs seating).
We headed upstairs and were agog to find none other than Pop-​star former Katie Price hubbie Peter Andre dining away here with friends so we figured it must be the ‘in place’ to be amongst those in the know…
But seriously — I’ve had the opportunity to dine here several times during work visits to Hayward’s Heath and I’d have to say that the ‘Quattro Stagione’ (4 Seasons) Pizza is the bomb. A thin crusted pizza dough with sauce is covered in quarters with artichokes, mushrooms, olives and ham. Delicious!
My friend and I usually split one of the many meal-​sized gourmet salads and a pizza for two, or perhaps a bowl of the soup of the day which is freshly made that day on the premises. Pastas, Pizzas, Sandwiches, Quesadillas and Croque Monsieurs can also be had as well as thick milkshakes and home made ice cream.
Definitely will be back!

This coffee shop really does give a service with a smile. I have been coming here since it first opened and never once had a bad cup of coffee

The Pizza the wine and atmosphere all excellent!

Lively café and restaurant, over three floors, which serves up delicious homemade cakes with a coffee or freshly-​made smoothie. There is also an excellent selection of healthy eating options. The menu focuses on pasta, pizza and salads and offers a wide variety of interesting choices. The pizzas, in particular, are handmade and topped with fresh ingredients — although you may have a bit of a wait if you order one at lunchtime!
The restaurant’s three different rooms provide a choice of ambience — The Attic is perfect for romantic dinners, whilst The Table Room offers a cosy chandelier lit environment for party bookings.

Lovely place to stop and grab a coffee if you’re just passing through. Or if you have more time stop for something to eat too. The pizza they do is out of this world and the staff are really friendly. They have an upstairs area available for private parties, and a little snug with comfy seats where you can read the Sunday papers. Or the paper on whichever day you decide to go.
Forest row is nice little village. Wander round, check out the bike shop and the old fashioned toy shop, or head out into the countryside. Ashdown forest isn’t far and there are some lovely walks and bike rides from here.
