Vue Cinemas

My friend treated me to a Gold Class cinema screening last week. I was really dissapointed, truth be told.
The only differences between the Gold Class and a normal Vue screen seems to be 1) Entry to the Gold Class bar (insert sarcastic wow) and 2) leather faced chairs which are slightly larger than normal, with attached side tables. Oh, and there are less seats in the Gold Class screens.
Apart from that, I don’t know what exactly warrants the extra cost — it was no more ‘special’ than a normal night at the cinema. Plus, no-​one checked our tickets AT ALL during the evening which I found odd!
I wouldn’t recommend it as a special treat — you’d be just as well sticking to a normal screen, in my humble opinion.
