Kristin focuses on improving your body’s functionality from the inside out to increase your sporting performance or to help you move more pain free in every day life.

Kristin uses Intrinsic Biomechanics to screen for any Biomechanical dysfunctions that inhibit movement or have a negative effect on other parts of the body. Once remedial exercises have returned your body back to optimal function, specific Pilates exercises can help you mobilise and get stronger to ensure u are maintaining this quality of movement.

Kristin works mainly on a one to one basis but also offers small Pilates group sessions at Active Health.

Business Owner

Kristin grew up in Germany in a family with four generations of medical doctors, however her love for arts and culture led her to the UK in 2002. She studied Visual Communication and Cultural Management and worked within this sector for several years.

Her interest in creative movement and working with dancers introduced her to Pilates and its benefits to health and sporting performance. Kristin was amazed by the subtleness of this method and its results. In 2011 she completed a REPs Level 3 Qualification in Teaching Mat Pilates (Michael King Method). Since then she has been undergoing further training and development. She has been teaching classes for various health clubs as well as private clients in Edinburgh and recently qualified to teach prospective Pilates Instructors.

Kristin greatly enjoys working with people in a creative and visual manner. She believes in an individual ‘hands on’ approach in order to successfully prevent and minimise pain and injury. Her priority is to impr
