This is a fantastic shop and well worth a visit! Joey D creates fantastic clothing and accessories from recycled clothing! Each item is a complete original so if you see something you like then buy it. It’s great to see somewhere selling something unique! I absolutely love it!

Sometimes I wish I was alternative enough and ‘boho’ enough to be able to wear this sort of thing. The stuff they stock here is definitely not for the mainstream high street shopper, and more for the ‘Kate Moss ain’t got sh*t on me, I set my own trends’ sort of people. In other words, it’s a bit of an acquired taste. A lot of the stuff you look at, and even though you think it looks ok, you can’t think of a single time in anyone’s life where it would be appropriate to wear it.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great place to go and have a browse even if it’s not on your way or you’re not in the area. It’s jut that, in my case, I definitely am one of those boring people who’s perfectly fine with what Princes Street has to offer.

You’ve got to give this place maximum stars for innovation, effort and downright talent, as everything is hand made from recycled clothes and materials, which combined with the designers clearly eclectic imagination, make for some pretty wacky garments.
I wouldn’t/couldn’t wear anything from in here because I’m simply not cool enough to pull off second hand chic, but the stuff in here is fantastic to look at regardless. The Shoe Lounge is awesome and a joy to wander through, and you can actually pick up some more ‘normal’ looking footwear in here, which is often designer and are fab prices.
More of a ‘museum of interesting clothes’ for me, but if you can pull it off, then go for it!

‘Wow, you make this stuff yourself’ I uttered to Joey D after having a peek at his self made edgy urban garments. The clothes here are recycled from vintage clothing and unusual materials resulting in some truly original clothing.
It’s a marmite affair, though, some items will either inspire you or have you wincing at the thought of donning such attire.
Joey, the designer and shop owner is a charming and inviting chap an undoubtedly after having a chat with this talented fellow his enthusiasm will rub off onto you, persuading you to consider buying some of the unique styles on offer.
A great alternative to the mainstream clothing shops.

Ive always been intrigued by Joey D’s even though I’ve never liked ANYTHING that’s come out of it. It’s just not my taste.
It’s bespoke, recycled fashion using bits of denim, army jackets and all the zips, studs, buckles and clasps Mr. D can find. Every piece is a one off and when you walk into the shop you can really get the feel for it as it’s like a New York dressmakers you’d find in a loft like in a film.
Undoubtedly quirky but perhaps. just not that nice? Each to their own eh?

Joey D deconstructs traditional pieces such as tweed jackets, denim, and army khakis, reassembles them with leather, zips, and buckles, and ends up with distinctive men’s and women’s garments that are a bit punky and a lots of fun.
His bags are also awesome and are constructed the same way as the clothes with lots of different finishes. There’s an amazing collection of shoes in the back of the shop too. For something unique it’s well worth a visit.

An unusual designer store on Broughton Street. The fashion designer Joey D works from here creating interesting pieces made from different fabrics and different items of clothing merged together to create something unique. Not cheap, but definitely worth a look for something different!
