For over eleven years, Shilla has been designing both independently and in-​house for companies whose missions are as disparate as Blue Shield of California is from SFJazz.

These positions have created counter influences in her work. In corporate settings, she is able to apply broader, typically more beautiful, strategies to her projects, expanding the scope and possibility of effective communications for corporate creative teams. In arts communication, she brings the more streamlined processes and data driven approaches of corporate methodology to organizations that often have no lack of creativity but might need a little more structure. This blending of approaches offers a solid foundation to any project in which she engages, resulting in appealing and effective offerings to her audiences.
