Phoenix Day Care Service is a small day service that provides care for people with learning difficulties and is able to offer a specialised service for people who have the dual diagnosis of a learning disability and dementia.

We provide a stimulating program of activities in an environment which is well staffed, warm, inviting safe and friendly. This enables the users to retain their independence, dignity and choice.

The service offers vital respite to over stretched carers, who are safe in the knowledge that their loved ones are being cared for by a dedicated and professional team with an understanding of their various needs.

All our staff have the relevant qualifications.

History

Established in 2007.

Phoenix Day Service was formed by Olivia Taylor as an independant Day Service and was based in Surrey Court, Surrey Road when the Rowan Day Centre was suddenly closed.

Two years ago the service was moved to larger premises but retains the original concept of clients being able to come to a small type family environment which is safe and secure.

The client enjoy a wide and varied program of activities that aids them in maintaining their independence and skills.
