Durham Tuition is a private tutoring service based in Durham City, County Durham, UK.

We tutor GCSE-​Adult in English Literature, English Language, and Classical Civilisations as well as Creative writing, Medieval Literature and other specialist areas of the Arts and Humanities.

We teach in person at our Durham city address, on the phone, and by Skype. Learners can therefore be based anywhere around the globe.

and be able to access and apply it throughout their life.

Betsie C.

Business Owner

Betsie A M Cleworth — With a BA from Durham University in Combined Arts — English, Classics, Archaeology and Anthropology and a MPhil from the University of Cambridge in Anglo-​Saxon Norse and Celtic, Betsie is a specialist in Classical and Medieval literature. While based in Durham she is currently completing a PhD in Old Norse literature at Birkbeck College, University of London.

Betsie has four years private tutoring experience in English Literature, English Language, Classical Civilisations, Creative Writing and Study Skills at all levels. She is an undergraduate tutor at Durham University in both Medieval Literature and English Language. In addition to speaking at various international conferences in her field of research, she was selected as an open day lecturer for Newnham College Cambridge (2008.) She has attended courses in lecturing in Secondary and Higher Education both at Birkbeck and Oxford.
