Dr Noodles

We ate in Dundee and ordered small noodle bowls-​one with prawns and broccoli and the other with chicken and broccoli. It is a walk up and order place and each order served in small takeout box. The portions were ok but having to eat out of tiny box was really inconvenient. We saw one other person eating out of an actual bowl but all the other patrons were eating out of little boxes as well. You can order various sauces and we ordered teriyaki which was tasty enough. The problem was the amount of sauce-​it was almost ½ the container and you had to fish out the noodles from the thick sauce and consequently eat all the extra sauce coating the food. It was not very good at all. If I go again, I would try it with no sauce which is supposed to be «chow mein» like? This time it was basically inedible. It’s a nice concept and location but not very friendly workers and needs a little work on food quality.

My favourite place to eat in Dundee! Well-​priced food, can choose as many weird and wonderful sauce mixtures as you like and the staff are so friendly every time i go. Satay, spicy coconut and sweet chilli are my favourite sauces and all three together taste amazing!

What do you get when you cross noodles plus just about ANY topping you would want on said noodles. Just OK, right? — unless of course that single topping was AMAZING (and it was). Now, what do you get if you cross noodles with ANY COMBINATION of toppings your little heart desires? That’s right — totally «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» — unless you have no good sense about you and cross the wrong ones… but who would do something silly like that?
We are so happy we found another place that serves food with flavor and spice here in Dundee!!! And… it’s great flavor and spice!
The restaurant is modern and welcoming on the inside even though it really is set up with take-​away in mind. They serve everyone in little take-​away boxes. They have an outdoor seating area in back that is quite large but the view is of their company car but if you sit with your back to it the buildings surrounding are of the old sort you find in Dundee and it’s not like you’re sitting in their parking lot at all!

It’s a noodle bar. The «Subway» of noodles. Nothing too fancy, but quite nice. The food is not healthy but the place is perfect for quick lunches. The service and food varies depending on who you get on a particular day. The last couple of times I got some newbies and they got my order wrong.
3 choices of meat: some ok chicken, some old and chewy beef, or 5 prawns ini a box.
the choice of the sos is bigger though quite unnecessary. Some choices of sos are absurd, and most popular asian sos selections are missing.
Still, it’s a nice place to go for a quick lunch.

Within the deceptively small containers reside some fantastic take-​away goodness. Plenty of options, fast service, and the option to eat in the entirely comfortable venue itself.

I’ve been here twice since it opened and couldn’t be happier. The first time was on an evening in their early days. We stayed to eat but it wasn’t very comfortable and I had expected more than what it was, so may have been a bit disappointed. However, the food was good and I just had to readjust my expectations. This isn’t a Japanese restaurant (or even Chinese), it’s an egg noodle takeaway.
I visited again just yesterday, this time for lunch and for takeaway. It was great! The food was ready almost before I was done paying. It had plenty of meat (regular, sweet chili, chicken, £5.50) and was more than enough for lunch.
Final judgment, great takeaway option if you want to feel better about yourself than a kebab or chippie might allow. If nothing else, excellent addition to the local options.

Ok so tried this place again today and am really disappointed. Received what was essentially a big box of gloop; wet noodles with no care at all put into it. What a stark contrast to the enjoyable noodles I had on opening night (and when the manager isnt around…) Gutted. Right in the bin :(
