Nice little country pub that has won best pub in Dorset for several years. The place was fairly busy considering it had only been open about 20 to 30 minutes. The menu varies every day and there isn’t a huge choice but the place is only small so it’s understandable. I ordered the steak and ale pie which was tasty and hot. My parents, who accompanied me on this trip, both had the scampi. I thought the scampi pieces looked quite brown, not your usual golden brown. After they had finished their meal, they did say that it was overcooked and was a big let down. It was a shame as I was expecting a bit more from somewhere that had won best pub in Dorset!
