Sibbalds are a friendly, modern and pro-​active firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers based in Derby. We specialise in helping owner managed businesses make more profit and pay less tax, as well as the usual stuff you would expect from a Chartered Accountant such as audit, accounts, tax returns, book-​keeping and payroll.

History

Established in 1928.

Established in 1928 as James Sibbald, Forsyth & Farnsworth, we became Sibbald & Co. in 1974 and later acquired the practices of Brian Ling and Ken Anderson. In 2008, after an extensive rebranding, we shortened our name to Sibbalds, to reflect our modern business style and our pro-​active, solutions driven approach to business.

Roger H.

Manager

Roger is Derby born and bred having been trained by Cooper-​Parry with whom he qualified in 1970. He joined Sibbalds (then known as James Sibbald, Forsyth & Farnsworth) upon qualification and proceeded straight in to partnership later that year at the tender age of 22.

Over the years Roger has developed a wide range of specialisms which means that, amongst his more «normal» duties, he now takes responsibility for a variety of different assignments including doctors, dentists, charities, schools, solicitors etc.

Roger has been a keen local sportsman over the years playing football, cricket, tennis, badminton and golf at various representative levels. He currently only plays golf and is clinging on to a single figure handicap which he has held for 25 years. He is a Rams fan and a Derbyshire Cricket Club member and in each case he holds a season ticket with hope rather than expectation.
