Ryan’s Bar is a nice little Irish-​esque establishment which is tucked away behind the Church in the town centre. This effectively is probably a blessing for it as it remains a friendly, local bar, with the odd student coming in for the open mic nights, which are very enjoyable and offer a lot of talent. The bar staff are always friendly enough, the drinks are not too badly priced and the house drinks are very nice compared to those of some places in Derby. James Morrisson was discovered at this bar, which can’t be a bad thing in anyone’s book! Overall, a lovely little spot to enjoy drink, friends and the live music!

nice irish pub, they do a good pint of guiness and great food. good music. often have jaming nights. good for a night out with friends and family. friendly atmosphere. they also have a few seats outside. in the middle of the city centre. so also close for shopping.

This irish pub is friendly and offers great home cooked food during the day. The food is basic and well cooked such as lasagne, pies and roast dinners, all excellent value for money.
During the evenings they open mic nights and various irish themed nights.
The staff are friendly and the pub is fairly small but has a relaxing atmoshpere and is not cramped at all inside.
