With an Ofsted report of outstanding in all areas this is probally one of the best primary schools in the local area.
It boasts consistently higher than average aggregate scores in english, maths and science.
Reception class has it own separate playground and classroom away from the hussle and bussle of the main school, but still mixes at morning assembly and lunch.
The main school uses it wealth of rooms well, with a hall/​gym and a good ICT dept.
School lunches are well balanced and cooked on site.
This school offers a great selection of after school and lunch-​time clubs, including girls only football, tag rugby, art club and lunchclub. It also hosts schoolfriends, an after school session from end of school to 5.30pm for pupils with working parents.
It has an outstanding music dept and an excellent school band which as well as providing the music for all school fairs and some of the many excellent school performances, provides music for Reptons Christmas Charity Markets and The Dales Senior Citizens luncheon club in Dec.
