Fantastic little restaurant, a real gem in the city that shows how the independents can still shine against all the franchises like Zizzi, Café Rouge etc. The owner Nicos is always on hand to ensure things run smoothly and the chef Kostas, whilst still trying to get to grips with the English language, his culinary skills display a knowledge of his home country that can’t be matched. Big portions, traditional recipes and a very reasonable price make visiting Nicky’s Lounge a great experience. Families are of course welcome being a family orientated restaurant but as are the romantics who are looking for somewhere to enjoy without the same old same old. For those wishing to try the Greek food but fancy some variety there’s the Meze for a similar experience to the Spanish tapas. Or you can order a main dish that’s either Greek or a local special. Fish and Chips, homemade lasagne all fill the gap if your date has a hankering for the more traditional. All in all, a new restaurant that’s picking up it’s regulars and attracting new ones, especially once a month when they let their hair down with their Greek Night. Live Greek Music, Belly Dancing and a lot of fun for the guests mean it’s a wonderful authentic restaurant which aims to give customers an enjoyable evening whenever they dine.

Very nice place. Clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. Food is very nice, tasty and fresh. The portions are very very big. I had a standard fish and chips, but they offer kebabs, currys and many many more as well. Sometimes, you have to wait a bit, because, they have to cook something, but it is not a big deal. And the prices are realtively low! I was very satisfied with the service and will recommend that place to anyone!
