I first discovered Frankie and Benny’s when I moved to Derby. I was surprised that London didn’t have one or they did but I wasn’t aware of it. It seems to be a well established chain in the Midlands just not as well established in London. It is an American Italian chain restaurant which you can tell as soon as you walk in with the music playing and the décor. The food is reasonably priced and all the branches I have visited have the same consistency, no difference in any of the number of branches I have visited across the Midlands or London. I have found the food to be fresh, tasty and filling. I have tried a number of dishes on the menu over the 4 years I lived in Derby and visited this place. The food is always spot on, never had any issues with any thing I have ordered, The alcohol selection is good and quite varied. The prices are reasonable and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself every time I have been here.

The food was delicious and the server was polite, friendly, and attentive. I would highly recommend this chain if you’re in the mood for some good food.

I worked in NYC for over thirty years and have visited Little Italy often. The fictional story on Franky and Bennys menu is a joke. Even the name Benny is a rare thing amongst real Italians, more Jewish. I opened the menu after sitting down and saw chili on pizza, pineapple on pizza. BBQ sauce etc. Trust me you would never see any of those items in New York in an Italian restaurant. I played what I thought was safe and got fish and chips with a salad. When it came there was no salad even though the menu said you get one. I asked the waiter and he just said they don’t offer it anymore as the fish portion is very big, which it wasn’t. The fish no matter how much malt vinegar I drowned it in was totally tasteless. The chips were just some frozen things also tasteless. I don’t recommend this place as it is not true Italian, has poor food at best, and tells lies on its menus. Yuck.

Visited many times, and normally a very good expedience. The breakfasts tend to be a bargain with refillable coffee too.

I took my girlfriend to this place and she was so amazed, that we started coming here once a week. The only accident that we had, if I may call it this way, was one time when I got a green salad with an extra that wasn’t on the menu a snail. Alive snail! But the great staff took care of everything really fast. They changed the salad and apologized so many times, that I started to feel uncomfortable. As a compensation, they brought us a nice complimentary bottle of champagne.

Great food. A bit overpriced for the area and menu. Service is very good.

This branch of Franki and Bennys smaller than other ones i have been in but it is a resonable size and there is plenty of tables. The food in there is realy nice in my opinion and is worth the money. However although the portion sizers were fine for me my brother could of done with abit more! The drinks were abit pricey and i think thats what bubt the bill up for us. The staff in there are very friendly and good with the kids and are very helpfull. The resturant overall was clean and the toilets were of a good standerd. I like how you can see into the kitchen as it is something to look at while you are waiting for your meal. There is a car park but it is quite small but there is always the jjb carepark close buy wich you could use. overall i think that this is a great place to go out and eat for all the family.

When you go to Franky and Bennys, you know what to expect. Average priced food with average service which is the same wherever you go in the country. Franky and Bennys in Derby fits this description. With a wide range of food, you always know exactly what you are getting & providing you pick your favourite dish, you are always happy. Drinks are rather expensive however, but this is nothing different when in a restuarant. Staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is great! Overall, the Franky and Benny experience is good. I wouldn’t necessarily go there for a special occasion, but it is a good place to go with friends after a trip to bowling or the cinema.

I have to say after being there 4 times now — the food is a little on the small side — especially when you have the lunch time offer! The staff are pretty slow — don’t go if you are on a time limit! It is also pretty pricey for what you are getting. That all said — I do love the puddings! So, go, just for the pudds!

I must say this is a fantastic little Italian restaurant that serves really authentic tasting Italian dishes, you actually feel like royalty as the service is so good, it seems as though they are only dedicated to you. They have a children’s menu so its the perfect place to take your whole family. Parking is a bit tricky as it shares a car park with JJB sports. However it is an ideal place to go after the matches at pride park.(Although it will get really busy)

This is a great restaurant right next to Pride Park. It is an Italian American themed restaurant and the menu is full of Pizza, Pasta, Burgers and speciality dishes. For a restaurant chain, the food is freshly prepared and really good. Standard drinks are ok, but the cocktail menu is extensive, but a little pricey. If you want a lively place to eat with friends, this could be that place. they also have a childrens menu and do kids parties. It can get busy at times so I would book if you are a party of over four, although we have never had to.
