Truck mounted powered access on self drive hire is our speciality. We were the pioneers to offer this in the UK (starting in 2002) and we have the largest light truck mount fleet in the UK.

With Smart the answer is a resounding ‘Yes’. You can hire from as little as a day and drive one of our truck mounts that can visit as many sites all in the one hire. All from just £99 per day.

But I can’t drive a truck mount?

Our platforms are on 3.5t chassis so you can drive them on a standard car licence.

I’ve never used a truck mount/​cherry picker before?

We give you a full free machine specific familiarisation on the day of the hire.

Surely it’ll be time consuming to pick up?

Our hire centres are all conveniently located just off the national motorway network; Hemel Hempstead (J7&J8, M1) Dartford (J1a, M25), Manchester (J9, M60) and Birmingham (J6, M6)

Do you offer training?

We offer IPAF certified training not just for our truck mounts but also for scissor lifts and MEWPs as well. In fact we can train you for all these categories in just one day

History

Established in 2002.

We started from our Colney Heath branch over a decade ago but rapidly grew and relocated to Hemel Hempstead in 2009. The growth helped develop our clientele not just in the immediate Hertfordshire area but also reaching out to north London and the Home Counties.

Our Midlands branch opened in Marston in 2007 response to many clients asking for us to help serve them further afield and again we moved to a larger site in 2012 to cope with growing demand.

This year also saw the opening of our Trafford Park branch to serve growing interest from contractors in Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside and Yorkshire.

Finally last year saw the opening of our Dartford branch to address our client base who wanted to use our services closer to Kent, Essex and East London.

2009 saw the opening of our first training centre at our Hemel location. With a rapid growth in our IPAF training all of our locations now offer not only this service but also PASMA scaffold courses and ladder training
