History

Established in 2008.

2 Green Dental was taken over in 2008 by Dr Ameeka Ruwala, with the blessings of the previous owner Dr Anil Barai after many years of dedicated service.

In recent months 2 Green Dental surgery has undergone many changes and updates including an efficient computer booking system and new, state of the art equipment, including new sterilisation facilities and safer digital radiograph (x-​ray) systems 2 Green dental has obtained permission and has started redeveloping the whole surgery.

This involves the refurbishment of surgery one and the building and refitting of a two whole new surgeries. The refurbishment will include a state of the art separate sterilisation facility to ensure the safety of the patients, as well as a step free access.

2 Green Dental practice is a mixed NHS and private practice, catering for the dental needs of the local community. We openly welcome all patients regardless of age, whether it is to check the first baby teeth or for a full mouth makeover.

Rajiv Ruwala BDS — Co owner

Rajiv qualified in 2008 and is the newest dentist to the practice. He has started seeing patients, following his previous year of aditional training in Croydon and is overseeing and co-​ordinating the redevelopment and refurbishment of the practice. He currently also holds a job as an Honarary Clinical Teacher at King’s College Hospital, teaching young dentists, whilst working alongside specialists in many dental fields. His main interests are endodontics (root canal treatment) and periodontics (gum treatment).

Outside of dentistry he is a keen photographer and has recently spent time photographing in the Galapagos Islands.
