Zoo2U is a family run business that specialise in mobile exotic animal encounters. They focus on education and are highly skilled at providing school animal workshops. In addition they cater for a variety of difference requests including parties for children and adults, Meet The Meerkat experience days, photo shoots and TV work, fairs and fetes, animal therapy sessions and much more.

History

Established in 2012.

Zoo2U was founded by Melissa in 2012. Melissa wanted to provide an educational service to everyone where amazing exotic animals could be seen up close and personal. This would in turn lead to better knowledge and understanding and support for conservation work around the world.

Meet the Business Owner

Melissa M.

Business Owner

Melissa grew up around animals and knew early on that exotic animals were where her heart lay. She followed her passions and now has over 25 years experience working in UK and foreign zoos (including with the famous Steve Irwin in the 1990’s). Melissa’s work involved presenting animals on a daily basis to the public and also schools educational talks.

Her desire to understand and learn more about animals drove her to complete a BSc (Hons) in Animal Science in 2006 as well as an MSc in Animal Biology and Welfare in 2007. Melissa has always been keep to learn and share her knowledge and experiences with others and this was realised in her role at a UK college where she taught Practical Animal Husbandry to students as well as managed the college’s large animal centre.
