Huge improvements since the refurbishment, the quality of food is high and the menu offers a fairly wide range of meals. It is rather costly, although the food is worth the price.

I haven’t eaten here, but will do in time. The menu looks lovely, the pub has a nice atmosphere and it makes a great roadside pub, good for bikers and drivers. It also has quite possibly the best cookies I’ve ever tasted!

Very friendly modern gastro pub, this place has become very popular and I’m not the only one to say as every time I drive past its car park is full. The food is very simple but tasty which is a change for our British food. The bar keeps the place full of atmosphere and fast service not to over the top, and very nice decking area to the side of the building. There is also a competition to win a case of Champaign, well worth a vist.

Notice this place has been refurbed & is due to reopen for Christmas. Let’s hope they took the opportunity to retrain the staff. Had the misfortune to go here a few times and it was always the same. You would be shown to the most inappropriate table for your party eg. Too big, Too small, not enough space for high chairs/wheelchairs etc. The food would not be served to the whole table at the same time, at least one person would be left with nothing. A minimum of one dish would have to go back either because it was too cold or not cooked. Have even been served semi frozen food. NO, it wasn’t ice cream !! On one visit six meals had to be returned out of eight. To be fair there is always apologies & some sort of recompense but I would rather have a good meal. I have seen the car park full so it must get busy but for the life of me I don’t know why. Not all Beefeaters are this bad, I have been to some really good ones.
