The Varsity

Personally, I like The Varsity. It’s one of the more American-​ish pubs you can find in the UK. Others will tell you that the food is pretty mediocre; that’s probably true as well.
Tips:
— Buy a Vcard for 2 quid and get drink deals… pays for itself after one drink (clearly Vcard doesn’t have the same meaning as in the US)
— Sunday Roast on well… Sunday
— Jim Beam Chicken is great

Ideally located in the city centre.
Always a good atmosphere in there, lots of students too.
You get a lot of food for the money and the drinks are reasonably priced.
My favourite thing is all the little rooms and nooks and crannies, you cam get lost in there!

The Varsity is a nice pub in the centre of town which is very popular with both locals and students as well. It is quite a large pub and always has a DJ on at the weekend and shows all the big football games.
They do a V card for Students which means that there are always a number of drinks that have money have off them and this is most drinks including your standard drinks like Carling not just horrible nasty drinks.
There is usually a good atmosphere in there and it’s a lovely place to just chill out or to have a dance at the weekend. They have a good food menu which is quite reasonably priced. It is pretty much basic pub grub but at good value with a wide choice of food.

I love the varsity, you get very cheap food and drink, and if you buy a ‘V card’ which is only £2 then you get discounts off drink and you also get good deals with the food, such as 2 courses for £5. It’s always busy during the day and at night too. It’s on 2 floors and in the summer it’s nice to sit on the balcony and have a drink or sit outside on the ground floor.

Good food and drink offers, it is popular with students looking for a place to relax with friends or in true Varsity style party!
Monday night poker, £1 drinks on a Wednesday and Sunday, £1.50 drinks after 5pm till closing time and 241 drinks after 10pm on a Friday or just to watch Sky Sports and Setanta on 10ft screen or one of many plasma’s located throughout, Varsity Coventry will ensure that you experience quality products, a friendly atmosphere and great service!
The menu offers wraps and sandwiches for the ‘light-​luncher’ to the more heartier hot meals. 2 for £5 meal offer which is popular.
Situated in the city centre close to the Cathedral and University. Surrounded by the Town Hall, Magistrates Court and local offices, the ideal place for workers to enjoy a pleasant lunch and after-​work drinks.
The venue is spread across 2 floors, both have outside seating areas meaning plenty of space to relax and enjoy good food and is perfect for larger groups to socialise together.
