Awful delivery service they said 45mins, it arrived two hours later! Sent it back. Left me very cautious of food deliveries in the Colchester area

Dined here once. The food was good but I was not very crazy about the place overall. Not very crazy about the interior and the service. I also could not understand the point of cleaning a table of 2 people by using a cart. Noisy and slow.

Mirchi Rasoi is a relatively pricey indian restaurant in colchester, near the station.
The Mango Lassi is one the best I have tried and i would highly recommend it. The also have lobster on the menu, which is different from your ordinary indianbut then again, what are lobsters doing in indian restaurants?
they have a good selection of starters and i like the onion bhaji which i have. they also have a good variety and generous helping of sauces and chutneys available to go witht he papadums. I personally like the mint yoghurt.
The chicken tikka that i had was nice but not exceptionally good. I prefer the prawn jalfrezi that my bf had. The portions are quite small and you may need to order more if you are hungry, as additional orders do take some time to come.
overall it was a good dining experience.
