Hamilton Road Fish and Chip shop

A short walk away from the centre hidden between housing estates you’ll find this gem of a chippy. The chips are great, the prices are unbelievable and the choice of other options other than fish is unrivalled.
The only fault I can find with this place is the opening times are unreliable as I’ve been there at dinner time a couple of times and it’s been shut.
It’s well worth the gamble though for when it does pay off! Get yourselves there!

I’m very picky when it comes to chips and will only have them from here. The home made pies are to die for and you have to try the cheese and onion scallops! If I had a higher metabolism I’d eat from here every day!

Best chippy around. That good my missus only has chippy from there. If i say im going to another she says dont bother. Great choice and brilliant service.

How this is what i call a fish and chip shop.
Very much on the old style chippy.
Fantastic food and they make big tins of hotpot, curry and other foods.
Get there early to get those.
My very favorite food to get from there is Fish pieces.
Chunks of fish in batter. They sell by the six.
Yummmy and better money wise than getting a piece of fish.
Must go and get some tomorrow now I’v been talking about them.

Strangely I found it walking back a different way from my Doctors Surgery.
It’s one of those Gems you just happen to come across and don’t have any idea why you never knew it was there or heard of it.
Take my word for it, Hunt it out.

Great chippy all the usuals as you would expect from a chippy but with extras such as home made pies, hot pot and puddings, you can also get egg and chips if thats what you fancy (it’s the only chippy i know that does this). The fish is freshly cooked and if a full fish is to much you can have fish bites again freshly cooked, the chips are lovely golden and piping hot just as they should be and the mushy peas just right. Its not expensive at £3.10 for fish chips and peas. There are also some desserts on offer. They also do outside catering for weddings. parties etc same great quality as their chippy food and with a choice of hot or cold menu’s
