This place shut its doors 2years ago. It is now an asda. Just shows how out of date Unilocal is.

This is my 2nd visit to Lazer Quest, I was given a free voucher for 4 persons after my 1st vist because the equipment was faulty. Just come again tonight, 8 of us this time, faulty AGAIN!!! But no voucher offered this time, sat down and had a pint afterwards but kept getting pestered by our kids for change for the machines, but the change machines were out if service and the staff refused to give out change!!! Madness, but saved me about £40 so happy days! My advice, DON’T GO

Went to a kids party here. Very good value for money. You get shoes, 2 games of bowling, party menu, with face painting and balloon modelling, plus a party bag. Kids love it and they are very entertained for 2 – 2 and a half hours.

Had a great night out here — lots of fun. The place is well laid out and well organised. It is a reasonable price for the games and the price includes the loan of bowling shoes. It costs about £10 for the evening. You can buy a drink — alcoholic or otherwise. They sell mostly standard beers etc. You can buy food — they sell a few things. I had a buger and chips and this was fine.

If you like bowling then this obviously is the place to be. There isn’t much in terms of competition around Chester for bowling and actually i think this is the only place that you can go to. As such the prices are probably a bit influenced by monopolisation. It is pricey for what you actually do. There are however, frequent vouchers available that bring the price down nicely. Within the building there is an arcade section /pool tables /a pub! /burger bar and of course bowling. So there is always plenty to do in here. The burger bar is shocking, avoid it like the plague but everything else is good fun. Being ten-pin, the bowling experience is very pure with little machine errors. I recommend coming along to an all night bowling session and really getting some games done.

I love bowling and as far as a bowling alley goes, this is a great one. A couple of words of warning however, if you’re hoping to turn up on a whim and book an alley on a weekend don’t bother(you really need to book in advance) and if you’re hoping that the kids won’t want any of their fast food you’re probably going to be disappointed !! As soon as they see someone walk past with fries and a burger you’ve had it, so I’d budget for things like that just in case. This is on the greyhound park, next to cineworld, again, if not all the family wants to bowl then they can always pop next door to watch a film. They offer the alley-buffer things for the less confident of bowlers and they offer the use of the contraptions that help little ones get the ball down the alley correctly too, but you need to ask for those especially. The only thing I would say is that the computer system whilst really clever, needs a specialised mind when it’s your first time so I would ask for help from one of the employees or the dad in the alley next door for help or you’ll have some very frustrated kids waiting for you to set it up and mess it up too if you’re anything like me. So, all in a ll, a great bowling alley. Helpful staff and you can even book parties too which are great and great value also considering how much you’d pay booking a hall etc anyway !! I would always pre-book to avoid upset-children-syndrome and make sure you budget for the kids(and probably the adults too) sniffing the food and wanting some too. However, if you’re on a budget they do have little can machines too and there’s a bar for any evening visits too.
