The Temple Bar may not be as richly splendid as some of Chester’s other pubs but it’s infused with a comforting homeliness. I came here for a full English that, while nothing special, gave me the opportunity to see the inner workings of the Temple regulars. Within five minutes of sitting munching on bacon I’d learned the names of everybody around me so props to my homies– Karen, Dan, Jo, Nigel, Reg, John and Phil if you’re reading this, which I know for a fact they won’t be. They’re probably in the pub already.

the main good point is the drinks are Cheap. however there is Little emphasis on quality and theres a Slapdash service. I find I would only use the Pub as a dire last resort action. I appreciate these pubs must cater for people with only 30 – 40 minutes for lunch but I found the visit to their establishment is always infuriating. Always under staffed, the procedure of buying a drink, ordering your food and your meal arriving as spec is a frustrating and haphazard affair. The tables and general surroundings always seem grubby to me and although the food is priced reasonably against its competitors, the quality is questionable.
