Description

Specialties

Mirror Coaching specialises in coaching talking professionals (psychologists, psychotherapists and coaches), supporting them in starting out in their private practices or growing their already-established businesses.

With over 13 years experience of running my own therapy and coaching practice, I understand the challenges involved and can help you avoid some of the pitfalls while also guiding your business growth.

History

Established in 2007.

From the day I started my private therapy practice in 2001, I had former NHS colleagues approaching me, asking me how I did it and wondering aloud about whether or not they might be able to do it too. I began running workshops in setting up in private practice and after a few years, it just made sense to me that I develop this side of my business as a coaching practice, dedicated to supporting fellow talking professionals in creating their own businesses.

So, in 2007, I launched Mirror Coaching and over the years, while continuing to run my workshops, I’ve also developed 1:1 coaching services (in person and, via Skype, with clients nationally and internationally), online coaching programmes, and written an eBook on «Getting Started in Private Practice».

I’m currently developing plans for new workshops and services, so the future looks exciting! Watch this space …

Meet the Business Owner

Colin C.

Business Owner

Mirror Coaching is run by Dr Colin Clerkin, a Coach and Clinical Psychologist with many years’ experience of helping people make the changes in their lives and their businesses that take them to where they want to be.

I have been involved in helping people tackle challenges for almost 20 years, initially as a clinical psychologist and, over the past six years, as a coach too, working with business owners and executives. I spent 14 years in the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK before branching out on my own and establishing a thriving private practice in the historic city of Chester, in the North West of England.

Before psychology, I spent five years in the advertising industry in Dublin but realised it wasn’t the career choice for me. I then travelled around North America for two years, where, amongst other things, I spent time hiking in Yosemite and bartending in Manhattan.

When not working, I enjoy running, playing guitar (after a fashion), and walking my dog, Susie.
