And Albert has a wonderful range of gifts, furnishings, furniture, accessories, jewellery and clothing from over 30 countries around the world. We have been trading from Eastgate Row in the heart of Historic Chester for 18 years. Many of our products come from small family run businesses, community groups or village based concerns. Over 90% of our goods come from BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Shops and Suppliers) registered suppliers. The shop has two floors and a selection of our unique range can be viewed on our website.

History

Established in 1995.

And Albert was first established as a shop in Beverley in the late 1980s by David Murden. it grew to a chain of 10 stores in cities around the UK in the 1990s. And Albert Chester is the last of these unique shopping experiences, though the vision created by David also continues through the And Albert Foundation www. and​-albert​.com

This place is nothing but amazing. I could go in and clear my bank account may times over.
They stock the weird and wonderful goods made all over the world form plates and bowels to jewellery and cot hooks. They have an incredible selection hand made furniture. Go in and prepare to be amazed.
Prices are reasonable for what you are getting but bare in mind you won’t find many of these things anywhere else.
The shop itself is located on the upper arcade and carefully hidden away from prying eyes. If you like an adventure and a unique gift for a friend or loved one this is definitely a place to consider in the city.
