Woodcroft is a popular and well established local authority maintained nursery school based in Great Baddow, Essex. We offer excellent facilities both inside and out across all our groups — Main Nursery, Little Woodcroft and our Baby & Toddler Groups.

We provide half or full day nursery education for 3 – 5 year olds, government funded for 15 hours per week and staffed by experienced qualified teachers and nursery nurses. We also offer a popular lunchtime club. NEW extended day childcare clubs available from September 2014.

Our ‘Little Woodcroft’ runs reasonably priced sessions for 2 – 3 year olds and our baby and toddler groups are also very popular.

History

Established in 1947.

Our Nursery began back in 1947 as London Road Nursery. It moved to it’s present site in Great Baddow in 1997. We have a long history of providing excellent care and education for young children.

We have embraced many changes over the years, the latest one is the introduction of before and after school clubs. This extended day facility encourages parents to return to the work place as we are now open from 7.45am to 6.15pm.

I have been Headteacher of Woodcroft for the past 7 years. Before this I was a Deputy Head at another Nursery School in Essex, and before that I taught in East London.

I firmly believe that children and adults should enjoy life, this makes Woodcroft a great place to come to every day. Our qualified School teachers ensure that children progress in their learning, but we make it fun too!
