History
Established in 2002.
David Cunningham Associates commenced trading on 1 July 2002. The practice was formed following the retirement of David Cunningham from the partnership of Kemsley Whiteley and Ferris and the acquisition of the Building Consultancy part of that business. This included the transfer of all assets and liabilities including staff, equipment and vehicles. We started off in Fenchurch House in Springfield Road Chelmsford about a mile from the offices of Kemsley Whiteley and Ferris and then in June 2007 we acquired the freehold of Kingfisher House at Chelmsford Business Park.

Forty years experience gained in the property and construction industry, having worked in both the public and private sectors as a Building Surveyor. A multi-disciplined professional, competent in all Building Surveying matters, including architectural design.
Specialising in Building Surveys of all properties, Dilapidations, Planned Preventative Maintenance, Specification Writing, Project Management, Contract Administration, Building Defect Analysis, Refurbishment, CDM Regulations and Party Wall Matters etc.
Arbitration, Expert Witness, Independent Expert and trained as a Single Joint Expert (under CPR).
Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Fellow of the Association of Building Engineers. Member of the Association of Planning Supervisors. Member of the Chartered Institute of Quality Assurance. Chartered Quality Person.
