Fletcher’s Feathers is a badminton club for people of all ages and any ability. We are a friendly and social club that welcome anyone in to the sport of badminton. If you want to come along to one of our sessions you simply just turn up! The first session is free, so you can come along and try it out. We have mixed ability club members. From beginners to competitive club standard players. So no matter what standard you are you will fit right in. Just turn up and play!

History

Established in 2014.

Fletcher’s Feathers started a year ago at a local street party. We put a badminton net up for people to come along and just have a hit. We promoted the first ever drop in session at the local sports centre on a white board. There was lots of interest and numbers over the months grew, so we now have 4 drop in sessions a week.

The Coach

My name is James Fletcher. I coach badminton to all age groups at any ability. I am a former Surrey number one with 47 caps for the county, I have been playing for over 17 years and I am Badminton England registered, DBS checked and fully insured.

Coach curriculum, breakfast, lunchtime and afterschool badminton at schools.

Coached the Surrey Youth Games Squad 2014.

Degree in Sports Sciences Coaching.

Coached the Brunel University Badminton Team.

Coached an 8 week badminton essentials course for beginners.
