Talk and Surf is a ‘communication and internet centre’, as described by the sign above the door. What this means in reality is that it has a number of internet accessible desktop machines, and a few telephone cubicles at the back of the shop, just like you find across Africa and Asia… but perhaps a little less dusty!
During my most recent visit I found it rather amusing to see that the owner was out on the street using his mobile, (yes, that’s him in the pictures), instead of using Skype, or one of his international landlines… you gotta laff!
But joking aside, Talk and Surf offer fast, reliable internet access for only £1.00 per hour, and serve snacks, and drinks available just in case you get installed in there for a long time. There’s customer toilets just in case you decide to practically take up residence!
