This tiny, old-​fashioned looking sound and lighting shop in the Cathays /​Roath area of Cardiff actually offers a fairly broad range of products.
Although they can’t squeeze that much stock into their little shop, they can order things in for customers — and despite the shop’s slightly neglected appearance the staff are up to date with the latest products.
They hire out and sell sound and lighting systems, deal with installations, and offer disco and karaōke hire. Their website seems to be undergoing something of a revamp at the moment, so perhaps they’re planning a similar overhaul for the shop itself?

Sound Check retail sound and lighting systems, operating from a very small shop. There selection of in stock items is small, but they have the phono wire I was after. I wouldn’t usually of used this place but I wanted something the same day and just stumble by the shop.
Sound Check has seen better days and looks a little on the shabby side but their products are modern and if you are in the neighbourhood you should pop your head in a have a quick browse. They really could do with changing the sign it’s outdated.
