I came here with my partner for Valentine’s Day and we both really enjoyed our meals and had a great experience! Honestly, I can’t think of anything that can be improved and would be very happy to come back in the future. Burger & Lobster is a little bit on the pricey side(at least £20 per head, drinks not included) but definitely make for a special occasion or celebratory meal. Hey, it’s lobster — it’s not a casual thing! However, if you’re looking to splurge Burger & Lobster is definitely a top choice in my opinion. ~ Atmosphere: It’s located right next to Miller & Carter and is upstairs with a tiny entrance. It looks great on the inside, with beautiful arches, and dimmed lighting. To be honest, it has more of a «lounge» feel than a restaurant, but I’m not complaining. There’s a massive bar right in the middle of the restaurant serving creative cocktails too! Even if you’re not going to Burger & Lobster for the food, I’m sure you would probably enjoy an evening of casual drinks here. ~ Customer Service: The customer service was great here from start to finish. To save myself from disappointment, we decided to book a while ahead for Valentine’s Day dinner. Already I got a great vibe from the employees here as they were very welcoming and friendly! The booking process was super smooth. As other reviewers have mentioned, they don’t have a menu — it’s just Burger & Lobster. They don’t even let you customise your burger besides adding bacon and cheese(no extra cost). However, they do have several different combo deals — to be honest, even though they don’t want to have a menu, I’d much rather be given a list of all their combos just to decide on the best choice. Although the waiter explains it well, I found myself forgetting small details and had to ask repeatedly for confirmation of what I was ordering. For payment, they have a system where you download an app and can pay straight from the app(plus get £5 off your first dinner). ~ Food: My partner and I opted for a combo costing £60 total — each of us gets a burger and half a lobster(all meals come with fries, salad, and sauce). We went for the lobster being grilled rather than steamed and it was lovely! I found myself sadly picking at my empty lobster shells just to get one more speck! The sauce that the lobster came with worked perfectly as well — all in all divine. The burger was delicious too, though I probably wouldn’t be ordering it again if I come back(the lobster is just TOO good!). The combo also came with dessert(again no menu) but our waitress mentioned Welsh cake with cinnamon ice cream and caramel. WOW! It was amazing! Welsh cake bites in ice cream — why isn’t this a thing EVERYWHERE? My partner said this was the absolute highlight of the meal for him. — I’m very happy with my experience at Burger & Lobster and would be more than glad to come back. If you’re a fan of lobster, you’re going to love it!

I went here for lunch during Rugby World Cup. We waited at the bar for a table to open up and had some expertly prepared Bloody Mary’s. They were very good. We all had burgers. They were prepared to order and very good as well. The service was great and the restaurant is very spacious. I would go back when I’m next in town.

Okay, I admit. I was one of the many Burger & Lobster virgins who asked for a menu… …there isn’t a menu. Just three items that all cost £20 each. A Burger /Lobster /Lobster Roll, served with fries and a salad. I figured this would be the perfect occasion where I could try Lobster(for the second time) without having to commit to buying and cooking it myself. Yet I must admit I was slightly disappointed that said Lobster is served cold(maybe I should have known this?) It is however overflowing out of the brioche bun and really tasty — even for those who like myself don’t like fishy-fishy! There is also a resident DJ here, some a-mazing cocktails and really friendly staff who will happy fetch you some more lemon and herb butter. Seriously just ask. However a few things you may not like… There is(obviously) no vegetarian option. The Beef they use is not Welsh(or even British for that matter). They don’t take reservations. …AND they add a service charge onto your bill without asking, so you have that super cringe moment of questioning the extra charge.

My boyfriend and I visited this place from sheer curiosity– loads of students had been raving about it, and I’ll admit it, I just wanted to dine a little posher for once and try some lobster. Situated above Miller and Carter(anywhere compared to M&C would have to put up a worthy fight), it was strange to be greeted by a girl downstairs behind a desk, who didn’t seem to have much of a purpose as she didn’t assign us to a particular table. Upstairs, the décor is great– we got a shock at how big and open the place is, with a funky bar area next to the wall of lobster tanks(and I get that this isn’t to everyone’s taste). We were seated quickly, and our drinks order taken, but were puzzled as to why we weren’t offered food menus. Turns out, there aren’t any– there are just three items on the menu to choose from, which were written on the wall above our heads, and all the dishes are £20 each. £20 on lobster, I didn’t have have a problem with spending– but £20 on the burger was quite steep. I loved the fact people were offered adult bibs for the lobster if you opted for a full one– I thought it was a great little detail. The food was tasty– I had the lobster roll with japanese mayo, my other half the burger– but I probably wouldn’t go back, as we already exhausted 2⁄3 of the menu!
