History
Established in 2014.
‘Rocket Bus’ is a 1972 Dormobile VW Camper. She has been in the family for 6 years and we have spent over 20k getting her to look and perform as she does. She has been completely restored from a bare metal rebuild. Trying to keep her as VW intend and as original as possible with a couple of sneaky upgrades. We use her a lot and with this in mind she had to remain functional as well as turning heads.
Adding a bit of the 21st Century to a timeless classic was an art. We used various restoration heros to get her to how we wanted her to be. She has had a new 2.1 litre engine and custom gear box build pulling 124bhp at 4000rpm. New brake system, steering rebuild, dropped and running air suspension we have combined performance with comfort and she drives perfectly. With Porsche 911 seats in the front and a custom made interior reupholstered in the finest of materials this is not your usual Camper. We also have a propex heating system meaning your toes won’t freeze on your special day.
