Ivett & Reed are a stonemasons specialising in fireplaces, granite worktops, memorials, architectural masonry and natural stone tiles.

Marble and stone fireplaces are hand crafted by our skilled masons in our Cambridge workshops. We also supply and installed wood mantels and Victorian cast iron fireplaces.

We are a major independent retailer and installer of wood burning & multi-​fuel stoves and gas & electric fires. We are a HETAS registered installer of stoves and flue systems.

We are the largest fabricator and installer of granite worktops in the Cambridge area. We also offer quartz worktops, as an approved fabricator for CaesarStone and Samsung Radianz.

We offer a comprehensive range of natural stone tiles, including a dedicated display area in our Cambridge showroom.

Our dedicated memorial masonry division has been crafting headstones and plaques in Cambridge for over a century.

We also provide a full manufacturing and installation service for architectural stonemasonry.

History

Established in 1896.

Ivett & Reed has been a household name in the city of Cambridge for over a century. Founded by Samuel Reed in 1896, our early premises were on Regent Street in central Cambridge, then later on Mill Road, near the Mill Road Cemetery gates. In 1903 we moved to our current yard, offices and showrooms at 615 Newmarket Road, close to the newly opened Cambridge City Cemetery. Still a family business today, Ivett & Reed continues to offer the bespoke stonemasonry and memorial masonry services which helped build our reputation. Our many decades of knowledge in sourcing and working marble and granite makes us the largest and most experienced fabricator of natural stone surfaces in the area. And we have grown into a leading independent retailer of fireplaces, fires and stoves, as the area’s main dealer for established brands such as Clearview, Jotul, Stovax and Barbas.
