When visiting Cambridge on Business — not really knowing the city — I tended to end up in the holiday Inn in Histon.
One time they bumped me and I ended up in the Felix.
Felix has better rooms — spacious and well decorated, excellent bathrooms with spacious baths, and the whole place ‘feels’ expensive.
Its a good bet for one or maybe 2 nights, and is better quality than Hilton or Marriott. We paid the same as we do for Marriot/​Hilton but that was with corporate rate. I suspect deals are available.
As far as I can tell this is a genuine independent trying to establish itself. On the whole, its worth the £100-£130 per night and definitely makes a pleasant change from some of the more established chains that you might end up in when travelling on business.
