The railway station at Burntisland is one of the better stations on the route from Edinburgh through Fife. Unlike some other stations, which I will not mention by name, Burntisland has a station which is full of character. The main building is large and was moulded and built in the Victorian era(late nineteenth century). The building is currently undergoing some work at the moment, however the building seemed to be in good nick. Inside, the building is, sadly, like all stations of this style has the dodgy sixties interior. It’s not as bad as others, but this station deserves better. The station is clean and presentable, and it even has a bridge to the other side made of good old Victorian steel! The station is not as busy as other stations on the Fife line as not all the trains from Dundee and Edinburgh stop here. It is predominately Fife circle trains which do.
