The Guild has recently changed its menu and embraced a more buffet style dining experience. It was my first trip to The Guild in over two years and I wasn’t overly impressed. Two members of staff were fantastic, very polite and provided great customer service. The staff member who brought our food out was incredibly rude. We had to request cutlery twice, it was then handed to us from a nearby table. The food was passable. The portion sizes were completely different though we had the same meal. Oil change drastically needed in fryer. When we left we noticed a large quantity of rats around the back of the building. will not be visiting again.

First the positives: it was fairly quiet and civilised and one (yep, just one) of the restaurant staff had some personality and good customer care skills (the one with a slight Scottish accent).
Apart from this I found the staff completely uninterested at best and a bit dour at worst. The service was slow, and the barmaid didn’t serve customers in the order we queued at the bar. The food was meagre — two of my group had chilli con carne /​veg chilli, which consisted of some rice, a few dorritos, and a very small bowl of salty sludge with a few kidney beans (£5.99!) — they could have at the very least added a little bit of salad.
The young man with the Scottish accent came round to ask us if everything was alright — I didn’t have the heart to tell him it was rubbish!
This wouldn’t be tolerated in any other European country

This is a brewers fayre pub, with the usuals menu of pub grub
Its actually quite busy there — espcially before 6:30pm when they have a two meals for £9 menu– with things like sausage and mash, chicken tikka masala etc
Desserts are nice– about £3.50 — they do a mega dessert with choch fudge cake, profita rolls, icecream etc for sharing for about £5 — very scrummy!
Parking is free– its next to a travel lodge and a david lloyd gym and near NEW college bromsgrove campus.
