Ferraris in Bromley at the top of the high street is a really great place for family meals, we go here for my sisters birthday. Great range of pastas and pizzas.

Definitely don’t be put off by the cheesy name! I love this restaurant and go regularly. The atmosphere always seems just right — not too loud(you can sit at a big table and still hear what everyone in your group has to say) — but also not too quiet or staid. It’s semi-formal but by no means posh or pretentious. Staff are attentive and friendly. Prices are mid range — higher than many Bromley restaurants but not over priced(I think my share came to around £35 including wine). My last visit last Friday I had bruschetta starter(portion was probably a bit big for a starter) then the salmon with crushed potatoes, green beans and side of broccoli with chilli. Salmon was cooked perfectly and the broccoli fresh, al dente, and adequately ‘chilli’. Skipped pudding this time for another glass of wine. The house wine is reliably drinkable. This is my favourite Bromley restaurant now that the Thai has shut! Parking is limited on the street, it’s definitely best to be on foot but if you’re lucky or arrive early there is sometimes space on the road in front.

Don’t be put off by the cheesy name of this place — it’s a really good little restaurant. The service is usually spot on and the food is brilliant. My favourites are the moules(great sauce), the seafood risotto and the amazing scallops with pancetta and pea purée. But it’s not all seafood, the meat is great too. The duck is lovely and the steak is really good. Not too pricey either.
