When you find yourself out and about in Bristol, it sometimes feels as though you are being bombarded with free publications tucked into every nook and cranny of the city. It is among all of these such publications where you shall find a copy of Whats On Bristol, the publication that literally tells you what is going on in our fabulous city. As a freebie this is a good guide to pick up to keep you in the know and to update your diary with, but there are more exciting and enjoyable reads out there which cover all the same bases as Whats On Bristol. Also as with all free publications there has to be somewhere that the publishers can get the funds to cover their costs, and you can see where when you flick through page after page after page of garish advertisements. Helpful, but not the best.

Want to know what’s on in bristol? Then well I guess you should pick up a magazine called ‘Whats on Bristol’ to find out!
From local cinema screenings to up and coming festivals and events, it’s a great little magazine (the website is pretty good as well) and helps you keep in touch to all the goings on in and around the city.
They run a brilliant little competition as well. They have a roaming photographer who heads out and about snapping pics at various different events, and if you appear in one of these photo’s with a red circle around your head then you’ve won £75! can’t say fairer than that.

This local freebie magazine can be found in a number of outlets all over the city centre; in Park Street shops, St Nicholas Market and Gloucester Road boutiques to name just a few.
What’s On is a compressive guide to (unsurprisingly) what’s going on in the city. You might need to flick through the HUNDREDS of adverts in the mag to find the good stuff but trust me, its in there. This freebie holds listings for club nights, comedy gigs and music events happening in venues all over Bristol.
